I started this project with the fixed idea that I wanted to make a pajama pants that I could use at the same time as pajamas and to go out. Even opting for something also casual enough to go to the streets I wanted to maintain the comfort of a real night-suit. So I chose a kind of a suede fabric which makes my oufit had more aspect of a normal sweatpants to use in a cold day.
By creating my design I used most of the time the sewing machine. However, throughout the process, because of the type of my fabric which is stretch, I had to lid with a lot of problems related to holes that happened using the sewing machine. So in those moments I had to hand-stitched the holes to ensure that they would be fixed.
I chose a fabric without prints or drawings, just in a shade of a pink, because I have a more classic style and I don’t really like to mixed collors in the same piece of clothing. Also focusing on my collor choice, my motivation can sounds weird but the shade of pink that I chose is exactly the same collor as the walls in my room in Brasil. So, I just thought that would be nice to have a pajama that matches with the place that I sleep every day.
These pants have the aspect of being tighter in the butt and wider all along the legs, which makes the clothing fits better in a curvy body. Another characteristic that I chose was a white fabric as the material to tie the pajama at the waist.
In all the time that this project took I loved the fact that I could explore my ideias, using my imagination.
